Frequently Asked Questions

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is an electronic SIM built into your device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you simply scan a QR code or enter the SM-DP+ / Activation Code parameters to install it. Some devices allow storing multiple eSIM profiles and choosing which profile is active, depending on the device configuration and carrier.

Depending on the plan, the validity period may: (1) start from when you activate the eSIM profile on your device; or (2) from when the eSIM first connects to the network/generates data; or (3) according to a pre-set time window from the carrier. Please check the details on each country's product page for the specific calculation method.

Most travel eSIM plans are prepaid packages and do not auto-renew. Some plans support top-ups / renewals depending on the carrier. If your plan does not support this, you can purchase a new eSIM plan and install it to continue using the Internet. Contact our sales team for advice on the best option.

Many travel eSIM plans are data-only. Some plans include a phone number with call/SMS support (depending on the country and carrier). Even with a data-only plan, you can still make calls/send messages via Zalo, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger, Skype.... Please check the "Phone number included" and "Calls/SMS" information on the specific plan page.

The Hotspot/Tethering feature depends on the plan terms and carrier. Many plans support data sharing, but some plans do not allow it. On the product page, we always clearly indicate "Hotspot: Yes/No". If you need to use hotspot for multiple devices, choose a plan that supports it from the start.

iPhone XR/XS and later, most Samsung Galaxy S20 and later & Z series, Google Pixel 4+ and many other Android devices support eSIM (depending on model/region). To check, go to Settings → Mobile/Connections and see if there is an Add eSIM option, or look up the list of supported devices on our website.

After successful payment, you will receive an email containing the eSIM QR code along with instructions. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network, open SettingsMobile/Cellular (iPhone) or Connections/SIM Manager (Android) → Add eSIMScan QR Code. Complete the setup following the instructions, and remember to enable Data Roaming for the eSIM.

Typically within a few minutes after payment, at most 1 hour per our delivery policy. If after 15 minutes you haven't received the email, please check your Spam/Promotions folder or contact customer support to have it resent immediately.

You can install it at home in advance via Wi-Fi if the plan allows pre-installation, but you should enable the eSIM/activate data at your destination to maximize the validity period (if the plan counts from when data is first used). Some plans have a specific activation window; please read the plan description carefully to plan your schedule accordingly.

Yes. Your WhatsApp/Zalo/FaceTime/Messenger accounts linked to your existing number will continue to work normally on the eSIM's data connection (even with a data-only plan). You do not need to change your app number just because you're using an eSIM for data while traveling.

Speed depends on network coverage, network load, device frequency bands, and plan terms. Many plans support 4G/5G from major carriers at the destination. For the best experience, enable Data Roaming, update your software, and set the eSIM as the default data SIM.

Yes. With a travel eSIM, you should enable Data Roaming for the correct eSIM profile. This does not incur additional charges beyond the plan you purchased, but helps the eSIM connect to the partner network in the country you're visiting.

Depending on the plan, you may be able to purchase additional data or renew. If your plan does not support top-ups, you can buy a new eSIM to continue using the service. We will quickly advise you on the best plan for the remaining duration of your trip.

As a rule, an eSIM QR code can only be installed once on a single device. Do not delete the eSIM after it has been installed/activated, unless instructed by our technical support team. If you encounter issues during installation, please contact us immediately for assistance or reissuance per the carrier's policy (if available).
