Installation Guide

Step-by-step instructions to install your eSIM on any compatible device. The entire process takes less than 2 minutes.

Before You Start

Confirm your device supports eSIM

Check our compatible devices list to make sure your phone supports eSIM.

Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data

You need an internet connection to download the eSIM profile onto your device.

Have your QR code ready

Open the email from NexaEsim containing your eSIM QR code on another device or print it out.

Ensure your device is carrier-unlocked

Your device must be unlocked (not restricted to a single carrier) to use an eSIM from NexaEsim.

iPhone & iPad

iOS 12.1 or later • iPhone XR/XS and newer

Open Settings

Go to SettingsCellular (or Mobile Data).

Add eSIM

Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan. On iOS 17+, you may also see Add eSIM directly.

Scan QR Code

Select Use QR Code and point your camera at the QR code from your email. The eSIM profile will download automatically.

Label Your Plan

Give it a label like "Travel" or "NexaEsim" so you can easily identify it later.

Done!

Your eSIM is now installed. When you arrive at your destination, turn on Data Roaming for this plan and select it as your primary data line.

Samsung, Google Pixel & Android

Android 9.0+ • Samsung Galaxy S20+, Pixel 3+, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc.

Open Settings

Go to SettingsConnectionsSIM Manager (Samsung) or SettingsNetwork & InternetSIMs (Pixel).

Add eSIM

Tap Add eSIM or Add mobile planScan carrier QR code.

Scan QR Code

Point your camera at the QR code from your email. Wait for the profile to download and install.

Enable the Plan

Once installed, you'll see the eSIM listed. Enable it and set it as the Mobile Data line when you're ready to use it.

Helpful Tips

Install Before Your Trip

You can install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi. It won't start counting data until you activate it at your destination.

Keep Your Main SIM Active

Your eSIM works alongside your primary SIM. Use your main number for calls/SMS and the eSIM for data abroad.

Don't Delete the QR Code

Each QR code can only be scanned once. If you remove the eSIM from your device, you'll need a new code.
